Summary General Electric ( GE ) has surprised investors with seemly endless negatives news. Among the biggest disappointments for shareholders is how bad GE has managed to screw up its slew of acquisitions. GE seems to have the perfect ability to time its acquisitions at the worst possible time, one after another. Of all the failed deals and potential divestitures, we think Baker Hughes ( BHGE ) and Alstom Power are probably the two that are most relevant for investors today given GE still owns the asset. Today we will discuss what GE is likely to do with its Baker Hughes stake. We plan to discuss Alstom in another article to follow.
