The family of a woman who died after waiting for a stem cell transplant wants to change the visa system that delayed the donor from entering the U.S. When Helen Huynh was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia last February, doctors told her family that a stem cell transplant would give Huynh another two to five years to live. Time is of the essence, a letter from the City of Hope Hospital in Southern California, dated June 22, 2017, said. With three grandchildren under the age of 4, one to two years was all Huynh wanted, her daughter Yvonne Aivan Murray said.
