Summary American Airlines no longer takes a leap of faith to own after string of profitable years. The debt levels are overplayed due to substantial fleet assets as the airline modernizes the fleet. The 2019 EPS target places the stock at a ridiculous P/E multiple of 6.5x. American Airlines Group ( AAL ) is back trading at the recent lows as high oil prices and industry wide capacity growth hurts market sentiment. The general concept is that the stock requires a leap of faith to own while constant results suggest otherwise backing my bullish investment thesis .
