I am going to open today with what was good about the market during Monday's decline. Mostly because the fact that the FAANG stocks -- Facebook ( FB ) , Amazon ( AMZN ) , Apple ( AAPL ) , Netflix ( NFLX ) and Alphabet ( GOOGL ) -- finally got sold has many on edge. Quite frankly there was very little selling outside of the big cap tech names. And yes I know that is subjective but look at the chart of the Transports and tell me you see selling during Monday's trading session there. I don't. If you want to move away from the transports, consider JNK which we looked at last week because it seemed to be weakening. It did fall on Monday, but it (so far) refused to break the recent lows. What is not subjective is the chart of the IWM relative to the SPY. It eked out a higher high. That's pretty good news. I might also point out that the volume on the QQQs went up quite a bit which typically means a short-term rally. I do need to note however that the gap down on Monday morning left an islan
