Financial markets are pricing in about 78% odds of a Fed rate hike on Wednesday. It sounds high, yet the level of certainty about what the Federal Reserve will do is much lower than it's been ahead of Fed rate hikes over the past two years. Here are 11 reasons why the Fed meeting could deliver a surprise, but the first is the most essential. In Monday trading on the stock market today , the Dow Jones, S&P 500 index and Nasdaq composite broke through recent lows.
