Apple recently rolled out iOS 14.7.1, the latest version of the tech giant's mobile operating system powering iPhones. There's a similar update for iPadOS as well, called iPadOS 14.7.1. Apple says the iPhone update fixes an issue where models with Touch ID can't unlock a paired Apple Watch when you use the "Unlock with iPhone" feature. It also includes a security update to fix an issue they say has been "actively exploited." Apple says the issue – flagged by an anonymous researcher –is tied to memory corruption, and could lead to a situation where an application "may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges." As tech site LifeHacker explains , the issue "allows malicious apps installed on the device to gain elevated privileges and execute arbitrary code attacks." Apple says the update is available for the following devices: iPhone 6s and later iPad Pro (all models) iPad Air 2 and later iPad 5th generation and later iPad mini 4 and later iPod touch
