WESTMINSTER, Colo., June 01, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ARCA biopharma, Inc. (Nasdaq: ABIO) a late stage biopharmaceutical company applying a precision medicine approach to developing genetically targeted therapies for cardiovascular diseases, today announced that it has entered into a definitive securities purchase agreement with certain institutional and accredited investors to purchase, in a registered direct offering, 348,000 shares of ARCA’s common stock, at a purchase price of $9.00 per share, and pre-funded warrants to purchase 694,222 shares of common stock at a purchase price of $8.999 per warrant. The gross proceeds to ARCA, before deducting placement agent fees and other offering expenses, are expected to be approximately $9.4 million.
