Boeing ( BA ) is widely expected to launch the 797 in July at the Paris Airshow. The impact of this announcement depends on the design of the Aircraft. Forecasts for sales have ranged between 2000 to 6000. If the specifications are good enough for a high forecast to be credible then the stock will go up, if it appears questionable then the stock will fall. Market Requirements Boeing is extremely secretive. People working of the NMA have titles on their business cards that indicate that they work on something else. Boeing Marketing Vice President Randy Tinseth said. “We engaged with our customers, we worked to understand the market. There is not a lot to share about what has changed because what we are doing now is really inside Boeing. It takes a long time to get it right”. From their earlier statements, Boeing will build two models as they have done on the 777 -8 and -9 or the 787 -9 and -10. One will have higher passenger capacity and one will have less passenger
