Opinion: Nvidia is latest sign that the cloud boom is dying Nvidia Corp.’s Monday morning bombshell adds to doubts about the cloud boom and China, as this earnings season continues to signal that one of the major reasons to invest in tech companies is falling apart. Nvidia NVDA, -13.82% revealed Monday that its revenue for the fiscal fourth quarter would be about $2.2 billion , $500 million lower than already diminished expectations of $2.7 billion . The company cited macroeconomic conditions, especially in China, and lower-than-expected demand for its new high-end Turing graphics processor and graphics cards.
