Nvidia stock sees worst day in a decade after earnings detail crypto chip hangover Nvidia Corp.’s stock was on track for its worst one-day drop in a decade Friday, as more than half the analysts who cover the stock slashed their price targets after the chip maker surprised investors with worse-than-expected inventory problems for its older gaming cards. Nvidia NVDA, -19.01% shares sunk to an intraday low of $161.61, were last down nearly 19% at $164.34 in heavy trading, and are now down more than 15% for the year. A close at current levels would be the lowest finish for the stock price since Sept. 8, 2017, when shares closed at $163.69, and could push the company’s market capitalization lower than $100 billion.
