AMD stock on track for best day in more than a year, but doubters remain Advanced Micro Devices Inc. reported a blowout quarter on Wednesday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to make some Wall Street analysts change their minds. Skeptical analysts largely remained critical following the report, in which AMD AMD, +12.56% beat revenue and earnings expectations and delivered a second-quarter sales outlook that came in above estimates. Investors cheered the news, sending shares up as much as 15% in Thursday morning trading and putting them on track for the best day in over a year. Despite the positive report, no analysts changed their ratings of AMD on Thursday, and of the four price target changes, two were in the negative direction, according to FactSet. And one of the two to increase a target did not exactly give a glowing review.
