Anthem Adds 900K Members As IngenioxRx PBM Rollout Proceeds Buoyed by growth in its Medicare and commercial plans, Anthem added more than 900,000 members in its first quarter a Anthem, which is an operator of Blue Cross and Blue Shield health plans in 14 states, is rolling out its own new PBM, IngenioRx, after ending a relationship with Cigna’s Express Scripts PBM. Anthem Wednesday said the rollout is proceeding ahead of schedule. Though Anthem is focusing largely on migrating drug benefits of its enrollees from Express to IngenioRx, Anthem CEO Gail Boudreaux said she’s optimistic about the PBM adding new clients following positive meetings with potential future customers. “We are seeing some early traction,” Boudreaux said Wednesday morning in a call with analysts to discuss first quarter earnings. Anthem’s first quarter net income jumped 18% to $1.55 billion, or $5.91 per share. Revenue rose 9% to $22.8 billion as the company's total membership rose to 40.8 million members, the comp
