CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- bluebird bio, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLUE) today announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 3,384,616 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $162.50 per share, before underwriting discounts. In addition, bluebird bio has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 507,692 shares of common stock. All of the shares in the offering are to be sold by bluebird bio. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, BofA Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Cowen are acting as joint book-running managers and Wells Fargo Securities is acting as co-manager of the offering.
