NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Citigroup Inc. is redeeming, in whole, all $575.0 million aggregate liquidation preference of Depositary Shares representing interests in its 5.80% Noncumulative Preferred Stock, Series C (ticker “C PR C”) (the “Preferred Stock”). The redemption date for the Preferred Stock and related Depositary Shares is October 22, 2018. The cash redemption price, payable on October 22, 2018 for each Depositary Share, will equal $25. Holders of record on October 12, 2018 will receive the previously declared regular quarterly dividend of $0.3625 due on October 22, 2018. The redemption announced today is consistent with Citigroup’s liability management strategy, and reflects its ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of its funding and capital structure.
