CBS stock falls after company misses Q4 views CBS Corp. CBS, +1.38% CBS.A, +1.32% shares fell more than 2% in the extended session Monday after the media company reported fourth-quarter earnings that missed Wall Street views. CBS said it earned $561 million, or $1.49 a share, in the quarter, versus a loss of $41 million, or 10 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. Revenue rose to $4 billion, compared with $3.9 billion a year ago. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected earnings of $1.53 a share on sales of $4.1 billion. "Our strategy of creating more of the premium content that audiences want and making it available across new and traditional platforms continues to pay off, driving quarterly increases in subscribers at CBS and Showtime, both consecutively and year over year," acting Chief Executive Joe Ianniello said in a statement.
