HOUSTON, July 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CBTX, Inc. (the “Company”) (NASDAQ:CBTX), the bank holding company for CommunityBank of Texas N.A., today announced net income of $11.0 million, or $0.44 per diluted share, for the quarter ended June 30, 2018, compared to $8.7 million, or $0.39 per diluted share, for the quarter ended June 30, 2017 and $9.1 million, or $0.37 per diluted share, for the quarter ended March 31, 2018. For 2018, net income and earnings per share were positively impacted by the 14% reduction of the corporate U.S. statutory federal tax rate from 35% to 21% as a result of the enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (the “Tax Act”), which became effective January 1, 2018. Highlights Total loans, excluding loans held for sale, increased $48.1 million, or 8.2% annualized, to $2.4 billion compared to the quarter ended March 31, 2018.
