Thinly traded nano cap Cytori Therapeutics ( CYTX ) is down on below-average volume. Share were up over early in the session before retracing. Earlier today, the company announced the publication of results from a Denmark-based study evaluating Cytori Cell Therapy in men with erectile dysfunction (ED) following radical prostatectomy (surgical removal of the prostate). A single administration of the autologous adipose-derived regenerative cells produced a significant improvement in incontinence, but their effect on ED was mixed. At month 12 after surgery, median Erection Hardness Scores were unchanged in the combined group of 21 patients, but improved slightly in a subset of patients who were continent. Over half (53.3%) of continent patients (n=8/15) could function well enough for intercourse.
