Summary An Earnings Disappointment Dollar Tree ( DLTR ) reported earnings on May 31st, reporting Q2 2018 earnings of $1.19 per share. Consensus EPS forecast for the quarter was $1.23 per share, an earnings surprise and miss of -3.25%. Along with this, Dollar Tree revised its guidance for 2018, shifting full-year revenue guidance to $22.73 billion - $23.05 billion, citing low single digits comparable sales growth. Top and bottom line disappointed investors this quarter where although revenues did climb, investors expected more. And where investors expected higher profits, lower operating margins due to expenses associated with distribution and occupancy expenses lowered overall quarterly earnings.
