Westlake Chemical ( WLK ) is downgraded to Neutral from Buy with a $120 price target, trimmed from $125, at Nomura Instinet, which sees WLK's risk/reward as more balanced given a more cautious outlook for U.S. caustic soda prices, especially in the near term. The firm's Aleksey Yefremov sees more challenging outlooks for H2 2018 compared to H1 because of easing demand in certain commodities and materials, inflation in raw materials and other costs, and less favorable currency. Yefremov likes DowDuPont ( DWDP ) and FMC Corp. ( FMC ) the most among his Buy-rated names in the Americas chemicals space.
