Extreme Networks’ stock suffers worst day since December 2000 after yet another revenue miss Shares of Extreme Networks Inc. suffered Wednesday their worst one-day performance in 18 years after a third-straight revenue miss, leading the network infrastructure equipment company to issue a downbeat outlook. The company EXTR, -32.03% reported before the open that it swung to a fiscal fourth-quarter net loss of $5.6 million, or 5 cents a share, from a profit of $13.2 million, or 12 cents a share, in the same period a year ago. Excluding non-recurring items, adjusted earnings per share came to 20 cents, which was above the FactSet consensus of 19 cents. Revenue rose 56% from last year to $278.3 million, below the FactSet consensus of $279.2 million, as a slight beat in product revenue was offset by a miss in service revenue.
