Bad news is building for this once-hot tech sector With cryptocurrencies and cannabis supplying the biggest buzz on the markets this year, what’s happening with the big tech companies may have been missed by some investors. He uses the Global X Social Media ETF SOCL, +0.58% as a proxy — it’s dominated by Twitter, Facebook, Tencent 0700, +0.81% , IAC/InterActive IAC, -0.60% and Google parent Alphabet GOOG, +1.24% GOOGL, +1.29% — for his bearish position.
