MILWAUKEE, April 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- First Citizens Bank, which operates a Guaranty Bank division, issued the following statement today to clarify recent inaccurate news reports: We have no plans to close either the Guaranty Bank Brown Deer branch at 4000 West Brown Deer Road or Bayshore branch at 5610 North Bayshore Drive in Glendale. The staff reductions mentioned in a regulatory filing impact corporate staff locations and associates, who have been previously notified. No branch associates are impacted. First Citizens Bank operates 11 branches in the greater Milwaukee area – 10 branches as a division of Guaranty Bank and one branch as First Citizens Bank from a previous, separate acquisition. Founded in 1898 and headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, First Citizens Bank serves customers at more than 500 branches in 21 states. First Citizens Bank is a major subsidiary of First Citizens BancShares Inc. (Nasdaq:FCNCA), which has more than $34 billion in assets.
