Fibrocell's Latest Partnership Provides A Leg Up For Gene Therapy Products Summary Fibrocell established a partnership with Castle Creek Pharmaceuticals to advance the gene therapy product FCX-007 to treat patients with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa. A phase 3 study using FCX-007 to treat patients with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa is expected to be initiated by Q2 of 2019. If FCX-007 is ultimately approved by the FDA in the coming years, then Fibrocell is up for a Rare Pediatric Disease Priority Review Voucher which can later be sold. Based on $14.4 million in cash as of December 31, 2018, along with the latest partnership deal, the biotech believes it has enough to fund operations into Q3 of 2020.
