Green Plains Partners: Growing By ShrinkingSummaryEthanol logistics MLP Green Plains Partners announced the sale of logistics assets and transfer of railcar leases to its sponsor Green Plains, Inc. earlier this month.The assets are connected to ethanol facilities that the sponsor is selling. Green Plains Partners is receiving 8.9 million of its units back from its sponsor in exchange.The transaction is cash flow accretive for the MLP and includes an extended MVC agreement with its sponsor that will support its distributions in the future.The switch from growth to income investment for Green Plains Partners is now complete, and the MLP offers investors a new set of risks and benefits as a result.
