Then operating profit rose to £1.16 billion from £1.08 billion a year earlier.Legal and General also said it expects to report capital generation of £1.8 billion this year.£10 million HitLegal and General noted however that it its pensions business faces a £10 million hit to revenues and profits this year. The company said that defined benefit revenue has dropped “as higher fee products have been sold to meet collateral requests.”This follows chaos in the liability-driven investment (LDI) market in September following the introduction of then-prime minister Liz Truss’ controversial
