Summary Third quarter sales for Xermelo once again disappointed, as the company struggles to get payer coverage. Sota remains on track, and the FDA's briefing documents will be an important checkpoint regarding the agency's view on diabetic ketoacidosis risk. Lexicon shares look meaningfully undervalued on the potential of sota in diabetes, but good news has been hard to find lately. Although Lexicon Pharmaceuticals ( LXRX ) has done what many biotechs fail to do, getting a drug through the clinical trial and FDA approval processes and onto the market, the commercialization of Xermelo really hasn’t helped the company or the stock, as the shares are quite a bit lower than when the drug was first approved and launched.
