(PRWEB) April 16, 2019 The Object Management Group® (OMG®), an international, open membership, not-for-profit technology standards consortium, issued one new Request for Proposal (RFP) to create a new digital receipt standard at its quarterly members meeting, which took place from March 18-22, 2019, in Reston,Virginia. The meeting was sponsored by IBM Watson IoT, Micro Focus, No Magic, Red Hat, RTI, and Sparx Systems.The Digital Receipt API v1.0 RFP seeks submissions for API specifications that support sharing complete digital receipt data in a secure manner, translate the existing ARTS Digital Receipt standard to JSON to support cloud computing and smartphones, and specify a common core of data elements, such as date, time, location, and items purchased, which can be enriched and extended in a standard fashion with local requirements.Both members and non-members of OMG can participate in the process by submitting a Letter of Intent (LOI) by June 21, 2019.
