Summary With this article, I want to offer evidence that defines the Achilles' Heel for MannKind (NASDAQ: MNKD ), whether for current or future marketing plans they might have for Afrezza. The make-up for the design and creation of Afrezza has a defect that can't be changed by merely window-dressing the product with glossy TV ads or label changes. The actual underlying efficacy and adverse events of the product have elements that can't be changed without undertaking the creation of a whole new product. The current product has shown those few users opting to try Afrezza, they immediately turn around and refuse to renew their prescriptions. This makes the sustainability of MannKind as an ongoing company highly unlikely, any time in the future - in my opinion!
