Navistar's stock rallies after earnings beat, upbeat outlook Shares of Navistar International Corp. NAV, -3.75% hiked up 3.7% in premarket trade Thursday, after the truck and engine maker reported fiscal third-quarter earnings that beat expectations and raised its full-year revenue outlook. Net income for the quarter to July 31 rose to $170 million, or $1.71 a share, from $37 million, or 38 cents a share, in the same period a year ago. The FactSet consensus for earnings per share was 90 cents. Revenue increased 18% to $2.61 billion, but fell shy of the FactSet consensus of $2.64 billion. Truck segment sales rose 255 to $1.9 billion, missing the FactSet consensus of $2.0 billion, while parts segment sales increased 3.2% to $605 million, to beat expectations of $598 million. The company raised its 2018 revenue guidance range to $10.1 billion to $10.4 billion from $9.75 billion to $10.25 billion.
