(PRWEB) January 26, 2018 David Mercier, COO of East Coast Hydroponic Warehouse--Rhode Island's #1 horticultural supply store located on 380 Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick--is pursuing another new venture, one focused on developing land, employing local workers, and enhancing the quality of life for residents in the Misamis Oriental province of the Philippines. "A major portion of the proceeds from our farms in Bayanga Cagayan de Oro and Gingoog goes directly to helping poor families in the Mindanao region," says Mercier. And, by being employed by the farms, nearly a dozen local families are now able to send their children to high school, something they wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise. "I want to thank David for all he has done for our community," says the Oscar Moreno, the mayor of Cagayan de Oro City (featured photo, at center, with David Mercier and friends).
