Buoyant financial markets have helped support fee income growth. Positively, custody fees don't appear to have experienced much pricing pressure recently, landing slightly ahead of AUC/A growth. With net interest income also up nicely, Northern has seen decent margin expansion in its two main lines of business. My only really issue is with its valuation, with Northern now trading for around 2x book value. Accordingly, I remain neutral.
