Summary Omega Healthcare Investors Inc. ( OHI ) did not drop more bombshells in their Q1-2018 results and as we expected , rallied strongly due to a likely short squeeze. OHI data by YCharts Our position prior to this We owned a residual 30 shares that we held from long ago. That was the net left when we exited a much larger position. We also increased our long position recently by selling a January 2020 $27 put for $5.50. Our rationale was that we saw OHI stuck in a range where difficult fundamentals disappoint the bulls and low valuations, high cost of shorting and a general stock bull market make life hell for the bears. In that environment the winner is the investor who locks in a higher return and refuses to get too attached to either side.
