Jul 18, 2018, 05:00am #InTheCloud Healthy demand for “superfoods” such as dried goji berries, chia seeds, cacao nibs, and powdered maca has fueled triple-digit growth in recent years for producer Navitas Organics . But those super sales caused problems at the company’s Novato, California, warehouse before it digitized what was a mostly manual process. In the past, “if we didn’t handwrite lot numbers on our invoices, we’d have limited inventory traceability,” recalls Greg Hingsbergen, Navitas Organics vice president and controller. Using Oracle NetSuite’s inventory reporting module, Navitas Organics can now see if items are approaching their “best before” date.
