Summary Slowing order growth and modest guidance for FY 2019 have investors once again concerned about Parker's leverage to a maturing economic cycle. Underlying end-market performance still seems pretty healthy and Parker Hannifin has a history of setting beatable expectations early in the fiscal year. Parker Hannifin's valuation seems to be at a point where even short-term cyclical worries could be outweighed by long-term opportunities. By and large investors seemed to come out of the second quarter earnings cycle feeling better about industrial stocks and the amount of room left for the cycle to run, although that seems to be wavering a bit lately on worries that Turkey’s troubles could weaken already unimpressive demand in Europe.
