Rite Aid's Merger Still Makes SenseSummaryThere's a great deal of disdain right now for the Rite Aid and Albertsons merger.This is based on the perception that Rite Aid's shareholders see it as Cerberus unloading a debt-laden business onto them while taking a sizable chunk of the business.From one angle of looking at it, this is true, but what should be considered is cash flow.The current position creates risks for Rite Aid's investors if Albertsons can't deliver, but so long as cash flow will come out as anticipated, the deal still makes sense.
