Summary Over the past twelve months, the shares of Sturm Ruger & Co. ( RGR ) have dropped about 15%, and this has put the company on my radar. While there are certainly risks present, I think investors would do well buying at these levels. I’ll go through my reasoning below by focusing on the financial history of the company, and by making a relatively conservative forecast based on a “worst-case” scenario with the dividend. I’ll also look at the stock itself, noting that the last time it was this inexpensive, it went on to rally. I think investors with a long time horizon would be wise to take advantage of the market’s myopia, and the political whirlwind around the company, and buy. Before getting into the analysis proper, I should state my bias up front as I must acknowledge that it influences my perspective on this company.
