NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Western Asset Intermediate Muni Fund Inc. (the “Fund”) (NYSE American: SBI) announced today that SBI will transfer the listing of its common shares from the NYSE American to the NYSE, effective at the start of trading on October 31, 2017, in order to provide listing consistency across all of the Legg Mason family of closed-end funds. The Fund will continue to trade under the ticker “SBI” after listing on the NYSE. Western Asset Intermediate Muni Fund Inc. is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to provide common shareholders a high level of current income exempt from regular federal income taxes consistent with prudent investing. The Fund is managed by Legg Mason Partners Fund Advisor, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Legg Mason, Inc., and sub-advised by Western Asset Management Company, an affiliate of the investment manager.
