AUSTIN, Texas, May 20, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Superconductor Technologies Inc. (“STI,” the “Company,” “we,” “our” or “us”) (NASDAQ: SCON) today announced the pricing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 1,700,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $1.00 per share. STI expects to receive aggregate gross proceeds of $1.7 million from the offering. The offering is expected to close on or about May 23, 2019, subject to customary closing conditions. H.C. Wainwright & Co. is acting as the sole book-running manager for the offering. The Company has also granted the underwriter a 45-day option to purchase up to 255,000 additional shares of common stock, at the public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions. STI currently intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for working capital and general corporate purposes.
