Summary Scotts Miracle Gro is a huge gardening company which has made a string of acquisitions to make it a leader in the hydroponics industry. This industry is essential to the growth of legal and high quality marijuana and as it grows its market share, we will see growth as it supplies the industry. The stock is less risky because it won't fall apart based on negative news or regulations as the portion geared towards marijuana comprises only 10% of sales. As the government sees the benefits of higher taxes and the New York Health Department's suggestion to legalize, it is likely they follow suit. There are many ways to invest in the potential marijuana boom. Many are plays for recreational marijuana which will boom if legalization goes as expected. Many are medical plays which are incredibly likely to be successful but the upside is smaller.
