Where do rich people go for financial advice? Social media Maybe your next great investing tip will come from Facebook FB, +1.38% or Twitter TWTR, +0.26% . Many wealthy investors who work with financial advisers are also likely to use their gadgets and social media to stay informed about the markets, according to a new survey from Global X Funds, an exchange-traded fund company in New York. The company surveyed more than 1,000 investors, all of whom had at least $100,000 to invest. Some 200 of the investors surveyed had more than $5,000,000. Some 51% of those who work with advisers said they use mobile apps on a weekly basis to learn about the markets, compared to 32% of those who invest on their own. Investors with advisers also like to scroll past vacation and baby photos to get some investment advice in their social-media newsfeeds: Some 47% of them said they learn about the markets on social media, compared to 26% of those who don’t use advisers.
