Stratasys' Revenue Declines 6% on Weak 3D Printer Sales; Stock Drops 10% Management does not believe the tepid first-quarter revenue results represent a fundamental change in the demand environment. Stratasys ( NASDAQ:SSYS ) reported first-quarter 2018 earnings before the market opened on Wednesday. Revenue declined 5.8% year over year, loss per share narrowed to $0.24, from $0.26, and adjusted earnings per share came in flat at $0.05. Management attributed the weak revenue performance -- which hurt the bottom line -- to "underperformance in North America related to high-end 3D printing system orders, specifically from customers in government and other key verticals such as aerospace and automotive."
