On April 23, Reuters reported on an extraordinary detail buried in SpaceX's draft S-1 registration , the document companies are required to file with the Securities and Exchange Commission before going public. Under the section describing “substantial capital expenditures” the company plans to undertake, SpaceX listed, alongside launch vehicles and satellite networks, a single line item: manufacturing our own GPUs. Rocket companies do not manufacture GPUs. Chip companies manufacture GPUs.
