The deal includes $5 billion invested immediately at Anthropic's current valuation of $380 billion, according to CNBC , with up to $20 billion more tied to commercial milestones. As part of the agreement, Anthropic will direct over $100 billion toward Amazon Web Services technologies across the next decade. The chip coverage under the agreement spans multiple generations of Trainium — from Trainium2 up through the not-yet-released Trainium4 — along with Graviton processor cores, according to the company. To support training and deployment of Claude, Anthropic has locked in up to 5 gigawatts of compute capacity under the arrangement, with some Trainium3 capacity slated to become available this year.
