Here's a quick and dirty guide to the 2025 holiday stock market schedule for the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the Nasdaq as we head into the heart of the holidays. Both the NYSE and the Nasdaq will close early on Christmas Eve 2025 and remain closed on Christmas Day 2025 , according to the official NYSE Holiday & Trading Hours and the Nasdaq Stock Market Holidays & Trading Hours I sifted through both schedules and explained the minutiae below so you don't miss a bell (get it?) this holiday season. Then, for those looking ahead, I list the other nine full-day market closures for 2026. "What exactly does an 'early close' entail?" you might ask. The NYSE Calendar offers further detail. In plain English, that means the major exchanges will close at 1 p.m. EST on Christmas Eve.
