When he became CEO in 2011, Apple's market cap was roughly $350 billion. Today, it's over $4 trillion . He's grown the iPhone into a $200 billion business. He's built a $90 billion services business that includes its own Hollywood studio. Along the way, Apple returned over $700 billion to shareholders through buybacks and dividends. The conventional wisdom is that Tim Cook extended what Steve Jobs had already set in motion. He was the solid operator who brought discipline and scale to the inventions of a charismatic visionary.
