Marriott International ( NASDAQ:MAR is seeing some softness in the U.S. and now expects revenue per available room to land at the low end of its 1%2% growth outlook. Speaking this week at a Barclays investor conference in New York, management said the weakness is overwhelmingly coming from the U.S., a clear sign that domestic travel is not bouncing back as strongly as hoped. That update comes just weeks after Marriott adjusted its outlook following the collapse of its licensing deal with Sonder. Because Sonder's rentals no longer appear on Marriott's booking channels or the Bonvoy loyalty program, the company now expects net room growth of about 4.5%, down from its earlier 5% estimate.
