Nvidia ( NASDAQ:NVDA ) shares slipped about 2% Thursday morning even as Elon Musk confirmed that Tesla and SpaceX will continue sourcing Nvidia chips for their AI and data center operations, according to a Thursday press release. The remarks came as Musk outlined plans for Tesla's Terafab, a large semiconductor manufacturing facility, while emphasizing that in-house chip production will not fully replace Nvidia's processors in the near term.
