Global foundry revenue climbed 17% year over year to $84.8billion in the third quarter, Counterpoint Research said, with AI workloads driving heavy use of advanced manufacturing nodes. TSMC stood out again, growing revenue 41% from a year earlier and lifting its market share to 39%. The gains were fueled by a faster ramp in 3nm production and near-full utilization of 4nm and 5nm lines, largely tied to AI chip demand from Nvidia ( NASDAQ:NVDA ), AMD ( NASDAQ:AMD ), and Broadcom.
