Yahoo Finance Senior Reporter Brooke DiPalma and B. Riley Wealth Chief Market Strategist Art Hogan join the Opening Bid panel to address whether the US consumer is weakening, especially amid rising gas prices ( RB=F Video Transcript Speaker A Walker thinks households will be walloped by $70 billion this year from higher gas prices alone. Brooke, I didn't see some of these concerns in the retail sales report out this morning. I will caveat that by saying, I wasn't exactly blown away by this retail sales report either. Speaker B I mean, retail sales were up about 1.7% in the month of March, but what did kind of blow me away, maybe not entirely surprising, but a bit higher is that gasoline sales were were up about 15 and a half percent.
