The Austin-based company said in an X post its Robotaxi service is "now rolling out in Dallas & Houston." Tesla's CEO Elon Musk told investors in Tesla's last earnings call in January the Robotaxi will be a big part in his company's "overall shift to an autonomous future." "The only vehicles that we'll make will be autonomous vehicles, with the exception of the next generation Roadster," Musk told investors Jan. 28 How does Tesla's Robotaxi work? Tesla said rides in its Robotaxis can be ordered using a cell phone app that is similar to the ones riders use now to search for Uber and Lyft rides. "We're bringing autonomous rides to you today—starting with Model Y," Tesla said in a post on its website.
